Jimin, j-hope, SUGA live ft. brief guest appearance by V - debriefing the concert over some ARIH ramen

Somewhere along the line, I'd forgot how I approached my longer form translations.
Whenever they do a live where they're unpacking something serious, talking deeply about a new project, etc. uncovering something really important - I'll translate that live/portion of the live in transcript-style!
But when they're just lightly unwinding after their concerts, doing mukbbang/random nonsense type lives - I used to give highlights on threads in real time (but up til now, it was only Jin/j-hope saying hi after their solo concerts), so I'll go back to that format so that it can be more up-to-speed!
But rest assured, if there's ever anything that's really critical, I'll do a more thorough translation!

Highlights
- Jimin acknowledges this trio is a combination of members you don't see together very often [on lives]
- j-hope gets up to help Jimin/SUGA (off screen) w/ food once SUGA also gets up
(in general, it is considered rude, unless explicitly decided/discussed/permitted beforehand for younger people to be sitting casually while older people are doing 'work' to prepare food - so whether it'd be like pouring water, getting utensils ready, even just going over to 'see' if you can be helpful would be the proper etiquette)
(so you'll notice j-hope comfortably stays seated without a thought when it's only Jimin that gets up to cook - even adding on to the order 'please boil more water for me' but then when SUGA gets up, he gets up too - and all this is SECOND nature, not necessarily like a dreaded action taken begrudgingly or anything~ and SUGA didn't 'enforce/demand it' this is ALL second nature and for granted)
- SUGA says (off-screen) that his favorite ARIH flavor is not being launched for another 3 months ✅
- SUGA says they really were involved in the development of many aspects of ARIH
- Members/SUGA worries, every sound check, about how long the fans have been waiting in the weather (in this case, in the heat)

they're talking about a seafood boil - it's definitely not something that is 'commonly' seen (the way they've seen it served in the states) in Korea
- SUGA grumbles about being in his 30s and how recuperating is not as easy as it used to be
Jimin: hyung, i get it but ...from what I recall you said the same things when you were in your 20s
SUGA: ...i didn't say the same things in my 20s
Jimin: same vibes though
SUGA: same attitude for sure but for sure my stamina .. things are difficult in your 30s - i didn't believe the hyungs that said the 30s hit different
Jimin: but then hyungs in their 40s..
SUGA: are so envious of us in our 30s..
Jimin: yea that's what they say - SUGA: omg i'm eating so much in America.. it's truly an emergency situation
j-hope: HAHAHA an emergency??
SUGA: like we can't just stay in the hotel i'm telling you...
j-hope: ...then go out
SUGA: ...there's too many people ..i don't like crowds - Black Pepper Tteokbokki ARIH apparently tastes just like Daegu tteokbokki - hits the spot for our sugaball so much so that he'd wanna just buy the sauce separately - and j-hope thinks it's even good when eaten cold (👀)

- another thing they're surprised by is that the number of male fans have increased substantially and it was something they didn't expect!
- also in Japan, it used to be that the crowd was a bit more timid, a lot of listening and a lot of anticipating - but they agree it was MUCH more dynamic this time around with Jimin even saying "when did you all learn to play/party like that??"
(i will laugh for 3 business days every time I see SUGA dance here jakd;fjg;lakdfjg
[Now just talking about all concerts that unexpectedly have more men]
Jimin: so you'll see like this tall man, and my initial thought was like oh must be someone's dad they dragged along, cuz they'll have their arms crossed
SUGA: but they'll have their arms crossed like this, sunglasses on
Jimin: and SING ALONG TO EVERY WORD...??!?
j-hope: kerosene, dopamine🎶
Jimin: no no but SERIOUSLY.. no lie.. they were singing along to BAEPSAE
- j-hope recalls feeling moved/emotional to see an elderly couple up front, consisting of one asian [not sure if Korean] and one non-asian, holding up the Korean flag during Body to Body
- Jimin: "this concert is the first in a long time right.. but it's so fun because it seems everyone is coming TO have fun.." [like with that expectation despite it having been a longgg time since their last concert, sorta picking up where we left off type vibe]
- SUGA was amused by venue staff performing MIC DROP choreography during the rehearsal from afar
- Jimin saw someone who looked just like his dad at the concert, so when that individual reached for him, Jimin found himself reaching back ::super confused:: so much so that after the concert, he called up his dad to see if he'd come to the concert- and it turns out that wasn't his dad (LOLL)
- SUGA: have you guys seen No Country for Old Men? Jimin/j-hope: no we haven't been able to see that
I heard El Paso and Mexico were the backdrop for that movie
j-hope: oh really?
SUGA: I heard the public safety [in that area/the border area] is quite good

i BELIEVE a 런아웃 ("run out" spelled out in hangul) is the unofficial term to describe when a celeb leaves out back or something after the show briefly to make a quick appearance while leaving the venue - not 100% sure but I've seen/heard it used in this context a few times in kmedia

Jimin: that's so nice - Jimin: friends.. it's SO annoying to wash up/get clean - takes me like an hour because of this friggng hair

Jimin: just driving my hair takes like 15-20 minutes
SUGA: when I had long hair I didn't dry it all the way, I'd just dry like.. my scalp and then
Jimin: I do it in tiers.. I dry the first round.. then wait.. then dry the second round.. and I only do it til round 3..
j-hope to SUGA: O_O?!! HYUNG, you're not supposed to do that

j-hope: you have to dry your hair all the way before you sleep

j-hope: because your hair will fall out

- Jimin: we were all in Tokyo at a sauna and because I had to wash my long hair, sideways, like this - all the members told me they were grossed out HAHAHA

SUGA: when my hair is just a little bit damp and I tie my hair up to sleep, I wake up the next day and it's like a perm, I don't have to get it done cuz it curls

호(好, ho) + 불호(不好, bulho) = literally "like/good" + "dislike/bad" - but is used to describe things that are strongly polarizing in opinions (think pineapple on pizza, mint chooclate chip ice cream, etc. - things that often have diehard fans or diehard opponents)
Jimin: I wanted to try something different you know?
j-hope: since we all try out new hairstyles we want - I think once we do, we can know for ourselves what suits us and what doesn't - cuz I was on my solo tour right? and I tried this and that - long hair doesn't suit me
Jimin: oh you tried it?
SUGA: remember he even did Legolas hair
Jimin: if it doesn't suit me that's fine, but I did want to try just once
SUGA: and in a lot of ways, it's more comfortable when it's long cuz even when you don't do anything to it, it kinda looks like you did

SUGA: no fr.. like even if you don't get all dolled up/made up, it still looks like you tried
j-hope: i just like my hair like this
Jimin: I don't remember myself with short hair even..

SUGA: i guess i am slowly approaching the age that may be appropriate for marriage - but when I was born, I'm older now than my dad was then

SUGA: cuz my dad had me when he was 33 and i'm 34 now..
Jimin: our dad was.. okay cuz my dongseng is '98 so... or how old is my dongseng? ::looking at SUGA:: is he 29?

Jimin: idk.. - V (reading comment): what's the city you're most looking forward to?
SUGA: ...OH! I read that the venue in France will hold like 83-85K people
j-hope: isn't the France venue a place we've been before?
SUGA: it is. but it's 360degrees this time
j-hope: now that we do 360degrees, I can see all the distinctive features of the venues so clearly now (the others agree)
SUGA: and American stadiums are really big on the corporate identities/branding - they feel the clear pros/cons of a regular (forward-facing concert) vs. a 360 concert
Jimin: for forward-facing concerts, the rows furthest back basically can't see anything, so there's that-
SUGA: you'd have to see with these
Jimin: but with the 360, you can see but it might hard to find where we're singing
SUGA: because we're just basically roaming around at will.. we may not get everywhere
Jimin: but we do try to go everyywhere
SUGA: we do TRY our best to go everywhere
Jimin: that's why it feels like.. this tour.. is truly a calorie burner
j-hope: a calorie burner? how many calories do you think you burn??
they take turns shouting numbers but all start at like 1000+
j-hope: we throw out these numbers like 1000+ but watch it be like... 400
Jimin: no cuz even if I run for only like 30 minutes, I can burn 400..
they realize.. oh it's for more than two hours.. and it's not just chill the whole time.. it's with heavy clothes and they go hard ...and conclude perhaps it is over 1000+ calories burned
j-hope: then how many calories do you think we just ate..

sir be so fr right now - no you do nott loll BTS has SOOOOOOOOO many more songs than there are tour stops. SIR.
a quick search will yield that EVEN by very VERY particular/stingy metrics - no remixes; only group songs (no solos); no instrumentals; no Japanese version; no alt version - that STILL leaves the count at about 180-220 songs
another quick search will yield that there's roughly 82 shows across 34 cities (so for example, counting 2 separate shows at the same venue as 2) - i did NOT fact check this, just did a quick google BUT it does sound correct
they fuss over whether or not this is true and the math of it all for a bit - if they include their solo work, it'd be more than enough & V leaves without a word loll

i cry.. probably so exhausted, realizes he has so much to clean up when his dongsengs leave, slowly trying to wrap things up but when Jimin mentions he likes the ramen - it takes NO TIME for SUGA to suggest he comfortably eat more and offers to make him another one

SUGA without skipping a beat: because I'm getting fat ...cuz at least if you fatten up too, I'd feel less guilty

Jimin: but even after 7 ..eggs don't make me full - I wanted to eat more but held back
they discuss how they've tried eating dinner only once during concert seasons (after the concert) but then reaffirm for each other that that's not healthy and they have to be sure to eat beforehand to have enough energy to perform on stage - so that means they likely always eat breakfast and then an early dinner before the show, perform, and eat something after - since they're literally burning like ~1000 calories on stage
SUGA to the camera: everyone, in order to maintain our weight, one can only eat once per day
and they all agree that when they're back in Korea/home, it's much easier to manage.. THEN SUGA slaps his knee and says "it's always when I go overseas >:|" and it's SO cute.
j-hope: so then.. do you wanna go to do cardio together once?
SUGA: ...
j-hope: wanna go play pickleball?
SUGA: no
