Poppy Playtime doesn't necessarily take super long to beat in entirety but in my opinion it does test the gamers' sense of direction and memory and like.. gaming intuition. JK explicitly states that he is "bad with directions" but then goes on to remember nearly every turn he's taken and where all the little puzzle pieces and quickly solves the mechanisms to advance.

It really has been fun to watch this side of JK's sensibilities in play~ like yes HILARIOUS because he is boba shrieking and fussing all the while speaking in formal Korean to the monsters he encounters in the game so politely.. referring to them as "sunsaengnim" (teacher/sir/maam - way to address someone when you have no idea who they are and wanna keep it polite even though it literally means teacher)

주먹밥 (jumokbap) is literally like "fist rice" loll but it's basically fried rice and some crushed crispy seaweed formed into balls for easy eating. It's a popular lunch item for kids or snacks on the go for like picnics and such. You'd eat it with your hand. Korean delivery is really good about offering thoughtful food experiences - like including gloves for things like chicken, pizza, even some burger places~ and in this case.. i guess it's for the purpose of handmixing the noodles?? idk.. i've never seen that but he uses the gloves for that anyways loll

당근 (dang geun) - literally means "carrot"
-used as slang (but is a bit old at this point) for "of course" because it shortened version of the phrase "당연하지" (dang yeon ha ji)
-now FROM that slang, there was an app called "Danggeun Market" (carrot market) which is like a local community marketplace app for buying/selling things in your neighborhood + Task Rabbit kinda + craigslisty vibes
-now from THAT app, comes this parody skit of "carrots" or like "task rabbits" doing these odd jobs for ppl in the neighborhood

okay from this point on - it's a lot more of the same - gameplay/game-specific content that wouldn't make sense unless you also saw it on screen.. i am thinking of some way to handle this but for now, i do think WV translations do a fair job because this is very SIMPLE language "go, here, kill, stop, help, etc." not stuff that needs a whole bunch of nuanced translating..

I encourage you all to watch - even if you don't understand everything, if you watch the game play you can kind of intuit how JK is interacting with ARMY~ it's a very cute interaction.

this truly doesn't need much translation. they're all top-heavy floppy animals and the objective seems to be to yeet each other off the platform or kill each other with items/slaps? lmao; if/once you die, you have the ability to throw either a banana peel (to cause players to slip); what looks like a pumpkin(just to hit the players); or a bomb(which damages all players near the object at once) to sabotage remaining players

As someone that plays games, usually taking the most low-risk, stability-guaranteed, non-scary paths to success even if it takes a bit longer or whatever... I noticed that JK ..immediately upon landing in these Party Animal games, goes to the edges and waits there. That has to be due, at least in part, to his confidence with maneuvering his character.

Whereas I get panicked the more urgent the scenario and tend to sometimes lose further control in moments of high stress/intensity (like being on the edge of the platform when the GOAL is to knock ppl off the edge) - he's banking on his quick movements to lure ppl to the edge cuz he's confident he can throw them off quickly. i just thought that was so interesting cuz that's so different from how i think/strategize hahaha
